Item parts you never know are useful

why are these parts included in our everyday item?

Nothing in this world is totally purposeless. Every day of our life, we use a lot of items with parts we have probably worried about why they are there. Let’s take a look at some of the things which fall into this category and also explain their purpose.

Tiny pockets in denim pants and trousers

The tiny pockets in our jean which we practically just use for whatever comes our way has a purpose after all. It was made to hold pocket watches.

Tiny holes atop Pen Caps

Yea, they have a purpose than covering the pen tip. This tiny hole lying fallow atop our pen caps are there for a reason. While we practically use them to get rid of boredom by blowing it like a whistle, the hole is made to allow air to pass through it in case a child swallows it. It will, therefore, reduce suffocation.

Measuring tape serrated edge

This was placed to protect the surface you are measuring from being scratched by the measuring tape edge. The hole in the serrated metal plate is intended to be used for holding the tape edge in place while measuring.

Quarters’ edge ridges

The tiny ridges at the edge of a quarter coin are actually not intended for aesthetics purposes.it is a measure coin miners use to tell the buyer it has not been used to shave. It is still in practice today as a means of keeping the tradition.

Handy hole atop cans

This handy hole atop soda cans and other cans has more purpose than for pulling off the can covers. It is placed such that a straw can pass through it after the can is opened.

Cart loops

The use for this little cut-off space in shopping carts and trolleys seem to have been forgotten even by store owners. It is actually put there so you can separate fragile items such as eggs from the rest of the shopping and also minimize how they move about.

Which of the above did you know the use of beforehand? Is there any widely used item whose use has been forgotten by the world? Do let us know in the comment box. Do not forget to watch the YouTube video attached to learn more!
