Local villagers living along the Borneo River now believe the mystic creature has been returned after a picture of a gigantic snake swimming along the remote waters emerged. The image was captured by a member of the disaster team monitoring the region by helicopter. The image later sparked a debate of its authenticity before it was discovered to be a mere fictional image as the water body wasn’t of the Amazon water body or the Boneo River; rather, it was from river Congo in West Central Africa. The snake was referred to as a Nabau due to its ability to change forms to other animals.
