5. The sleeping city of kalachi
Kalachi is a city in Kazakhstan. The city was invaded with an unusual epidemic in 2014 that claimed the lives of nearly half its population. People will be going about their normal activities and just begin to feel sleepy. The next thing is, they will fall down and die. Not all of them died though, some came down with serious mental diseases while others fled the city. A scientific theory proposed that the occurrence was due to the presence of radioactive materials in the region, but this was found to be false when the blood of the victims were tested.
