1. The boiling river
Located in the Peruvian Amazon is a river that kills anything that gets into it. Any animal that mistakenly found its way into this river is literally cooked. The river is 4 miles long and its temperature can rise as high as 91°c. Normally, rivers get hot because volcanoes flow into them, but there is no volcano near this river. Hence, the cause of its hotness has remained a mystery to scientists.
