2. The Never-ending lightning storm
People in western Venezuela, around the Lake Maracaibo region experience lightning and thunderstorms almost on daily basis. These thunderstorms contradict the theory that lightning never strikes a place twice. On a normal day, the Lake Maracaibo receives lightning for about 250 times an hour for 9-10 hours – starting from 7 PM. As with every mystery, there have been scientific postulations, but none of them completely solves the mystery.
