8. Trainspotting

Screened after Irvine Welsh’s novel, this is an amazing portrayal of the life as a heroin addict in Edinburgh – also showing the poverty of sub-urban areas, unfiltered. It is definitely made for the strong-hearted, as It’s filled with the harsh realities of addiction and also the difficulty in moving out of it. Besides, some scenes are especially difficult to watch because of their dramatic implications and also visual impact. And one of the most worrying points of the film is the way an addiction can follow you even when you are clean and sober – just watch it.
